Do an online program, it sounds like you can do it during the work day.
You’re in India so I’m not familiar with the professional tracts there. I would caution you to search for phycology jobs in your area as if you already had a degree. You will probably find that most of the jobs and money will be for those with graduate degree and extra training that led to licenses and certifications. It’s a great field, just know what you’re getting into up front.
You have the means to pay off any obligations and bank up some money for the future.
Why not start talking to people in the field about the career locally, while budgeting aggressively?
If you can afford to start your own practice and take sliding scale rate clients, you are less likely to feel pigeonholed later.
Would you mind sharing where you are from and how long it took for you to find your finance job?
Dude finance is a good degree and one of the only real business degrees. See if you can pivot in the industry.
Why do you need to quit to pursue another degree? In the US, you would not be spending 6-7 years for another degree unless it was a PhD.
You can finance your degree with your current career. Counselors are not going to disappear.
