As a single backlink alone, it probably doesn’t move the needle much, if at all really. Although Apache ‘s subdomain has high authority, the “powered by…” link is only a mention, not useful content providing high-intent, helpful information.
I mean, even if it’s real strong, probably only a minimal amount. It’s one backlink. One backlink really isn’t going to change the game
The website’s authority (as in “domain authority”) has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not that link is going to “help your site” or not.
There’s no such thing as “domain authority”, just because you have a link on a particular domain doesn’t mean that the link has any SEO value whatsoever. Let’s just get rid of that myth once and for all.
That said, you need to determine how many links the page you’d be on has. If the page where your link will reside is so far buried from the site’s home page that no one will click on it then it’s pretty much a useless link. Not worth paying for. But, if you can get the link “for free” essentially, then it’s probably not going to hurt your site. I just wouldn’t count on it helping your site’s rankings.
