You’re thinking about it the right way – start with long tail bottom of funnel.
Here’s how I would approach it:
1. Make sure your product pages are optimized for the keywords you want to target
2. Create jobs to be done pages that show how your different users are using your product to accomplish their goals
3. Create listicle style articles for your product category that rank and compare top competitors. These types of articles tend to be heavily cited in AI search as well so gives you a chance for some visibility there too.
4. Create competitor comparison and alternative style articles
