Its because SEMrush has no idea what prompts people are using….
I have a similar situation where I have a “low” SEMrush score but 40k Bing AI citations….

Nope – just remember that its not just you – at least 10, 30 or even 90 sites could be returned for 1 prompt.

Anyway BWT is primary, “real” data – it’s an actual log of Bing activity.
Semrush (and other tools in that vein) only know about the prompts and responses that are in their database. Since there is quite literally an infinite number of possible prompts, these tools can never be fully accurate. (Yes, there was always an infinite number of things to search, but 5 years ago people were more likely to search for short predictable phrases, rather than now with typing whole-ass sentences and shit in there)
Where Semrush et al are pretty valuable IMO is showing your trended visibility over time, especially versus competitors. The absolute numbers are kind of meaningless in a vacuum, but seeing them change over time can give you useful insights.
