Neden bu kadar çok insan için “tutkunuzu bulun” imkansız geliyor?
Arkadaşlar, burada tekrar tekrar aynı tavsiyeyi görüyorum:
Tutkunuzu bulun.
Amacınızı takip edin.
Sevdiğiniz şeyi yapın ve her şey yoluna girecek.
Kulağa hoş geliyor ama kimse aslında nasıl davranmanız gerektiğini açıklamıyor bulmak bu şeyler ya da onları gerçekten hiç hissetmediğinizde yaptığınız şeyler.
Böylece insanlar daha sessiz soruları sormaya başlıyorlar:
- Peki ya bir tutkum yoksa?
- Ya yanlış hayatı seçersem?
- Ya amacım zaten kaçırdığım bir şeyse?
- Ya 35 yaşında uyanıp bana uymayan bir hayat kurduğumu fark edersem?
O korku burada sürekli kendini gösteriyor.
Bu durumdaki çoğu insan tembel ya da kırgın değildir. Kendileriyle ilgili netliği kaçırıyorlar. Bu olmadan “amaç” soyut, ulaşılmaz veya sahte gibi gelir.
Yaşamımızın çok erken dönemlerinde büyük şeyleri seçmemiz istenir:
- üniversite öğrencisi
- bir kariyer yolu
- geleceğimizin bir versiyonu
Gerçekten anlamadan önce:
- bize aslında enerji veren ve onu tüketen şey nedir
- ne tür bir iş katlanılabilir olmak yerine tatmin edici hissettirir
- uzun vadede ne gibi ödünleşimlerle yaşayabiliriz
- Farklı seçimler gerçekçi bir şekilde hayatı nasıl şekillendirir?
Bu yüzden makul bir şey seçiyoruz.
Güvenli bir şey.
Kabul edilebilir gibi görünen bir şey.
Ve kendimize tutkunun daha sonra geleceğini söyleriz.
Pek çok insan için bu asla gerçekleşmez ve bu yavaş yavaş kaygıya, uyuşukluğa veya inşa ettikleri hayata dair sessiz bir kedere dönüşür.
Merak ediyorum:
Sizce insanların bir yola çıkmadan önce kendileri hakkında netlik kazanmalarına aslında ne yardımcı olur?
Yoksa bunun gerçekten çözülemeyecek bir şey olduğunu mu düşünüyorsunuz?

This is so real😭 I think a part of the reason a lot of people can’t find their passion is because they’re looking for it in a job. a lot of people’s passions are hobbies or things and not jobs. So nothing will ever truly fit for a job.
The hardest part is when your passion is not “reasonable” or safe when compared to other passions . So if your passion is to become a concept artist vs your friend whose passion is to become a nurse , more than likely even if you both went to school , both worked hard , there is a good chance your friend with the nursing passion will find a nursing job straight out school, never having to settle for an unrelated job. Ah but you , the guy with the passion in concept art , if post grad and your portfolio isn’t “top tier” then more than likely you are going to have to work “any” job whilst stil working on the portfolio. 6 months in and you are still working in that customer service job whilst working in your portfolio, meanwhile your nursing friend has been a nurse for the past 6 months making good money . What happens if that 6 months becomes a year or a year and a half and still no concept artist job and again your friend has been working that nursing job for the past 2 years making “big boy” money and you are still at your customer service job…
It is tough , it can be really tough , you can be just as passionate , just as dedicated as your nursing friend but because your passion isn’t as safe as nursing you are stuck in a job you have no interest in making little money.
Really there are some days where I wish I could just snap my fingers and all of a sudden become interested in accounting , nursing etc…
It seems the best you can hope for is you find a job that pays “well” and you don’t completely hate even though it is not the dream job. And even then there is probably always going to be that pang of regret , of not being able to do what you really want .
Im 42 and still havent figured it out.
