If Google crawls it – then its not a sitemap issue, its not a technical issue, its an authority issue.
If its a YMYL site, it could need a lot more authority

you probably broke the JS code when you added the adsense code, it happens a lot. revert to the original and follow instructions VERY CAREFULLY.
