   There’s so many options. I am also 20, but I have an apartment with my girlfriend. I’m a fast food manager, and certified to be an agm. Just waiting till it’s convenient to make that move up. With that since it’s an ok sized company with plenty of franchises there’s good room to move up in the future. So this is more or less my backup plan, and I eventually want to break into something with cannabis… like having my own grow op and dispo and whatnot.

   But your best off just working up wherever you can, while also pursuing whatever skills you’d like to eventually get into. But you could start your own business whether it be online or in person. There’s trades. There’s the military. There’s plenty of tech stuff, but as you said it’s a tad oversaturated, and stuff is iffy with AI, but I don’t know a whole lot.

   You could maybe invest your off time with learning those tech skills, do your best to find something small-time (it will involve lots of phone calls and selling yourself if it’s that hard to find a position). And from there could consider your own business in that line of work.

   I often find myself asking questions of those above me on how they run stuff and whatnot. Absorb as much as you can information wise and put it to use when you can.

   Edit: I should add you probably want to build yourself up. Keep good habits, with sleep, diet, exercise. I am not good at any of these and I love drugs (you can peep my history), but drugs don’t stop me from doing my stuff. Good luck 🫡

   Step 3: Look at the jobs with the highest growth potential. Look at the skills needed to get the desired job.

   ** If needed, you can check LinkedIn Learning at the nearest Public Library in your area. Most public libraries offer LinkedIn learning to those with a library card. LinkedIn Learning has videos that teach in-demand skills.

   Step 4: Go to your local library and ask for help with your resume.

   If you are curious about college options, I recommend the following:

   Step 1: Take CLEP exams on the College Board Website (same website used for the SAT)

   ** I recommend CLEP exams because they will save you money on college courses. Take a CLEP exam and then find a college that will accept all your CLEP exam college credit. There are CLEP exams in multiple subjects like English, Algebra, and Accounting, just to name a few.

   ** Would you rather pay $100 for a CLEP exam that may provide 3 to 12 college credits OR pay over $1,000 for one college class for 3 college credits?

   Step 2: Find ACCREDITED colleges that will accept all of your CLEP exam college credit.

   After you take a few CLEP exams, you can still save money by reaching out to your school’s financial aid office about the 1098-T form for tax benefits.

   If you are pursuing your first college degree, you may be eligible for the American Opportunity Tax Credit:

   IT/Tech is fucked at this point. Do you like working with your hands? Are you good at dealing with people? What are some strengths/hobbies? What do you want out of life, in terms of settling down or not, how much you travel, how much time off, etc.

   You won’t make any good money at 20! Apply for college now to secure a spot for Fall 2026 semester as a freshman.
   Enjoy your spring and summer by resting 😴 your mind so to not start the fall semester already burnt out and resentful towards your courses.
