I worked in retail for a while. Decided to go back to school. Ended up studying Digital Audiences at ASU which is basically a digital marketing program. Did an internship, then got a fully remote SEO job about a month after graduating. I didn’t seek out fully remote, this job just happened to be. Most SEO jobs I’ve seen are fully remote or at least hybrid though.
Started in content and switched to SEO about 8 years ago. I have an MBA.

I started with an internship. 10$ an hour but it got my foot in the door
I took a year off to travel.
Ran out of money, came home and posted on LinkedIn saying I was looking for work. My network reached out to me, I explained I would only work fully remote and got the job.
1.5 years passed and now I work for myself with a few key clients.
I have 20 years experience, an MBA, econ and marketing degree.
Not to many entry level jobs that are remote, people generally will take a small pay cut to go remote due to flexibility.
