This question is pretty vague and lacks detail. It could be any of the things you described.
Compare your December organic period traffic/impressions to the same period last year and in previous years so you have a benchmark for what is a “normal” organic traffic range.
You can also compare November –> December in previous years to get an idea if there is usually a downward traffic trend or not.
While the core update is rolling out:
– if you have to do something, do only what you have been doing previously before this point – dont change anything.
– if you don’t have to do anything, just sit back and watch/wait until the core update is done before jumping to any conclusions.
Revisit this in mid January and see where the website stands.
