At startups and some of the high-end technology enterprises, engineers are expected to put in crazy hours.

High-end law firms also work their employees quite hard.

High finance, like investment banking, private equity, and hedge funds, also can be demanding.

Generally the higher you go in society, the more demanding it becomes. Also frequently true at the bottom end. The middle is where you find the best work life balance.

You want something that’ll wear you out in the process, look into event or concert production. Stage hand or technician jobs. If you can get into touring, even better.

I worked in factories. If you’re looking for high pay, go into steel or medical devices. Volunteer for overtime as much as you can. You’ll work up to 16 hours a day and can be called in on weekends. Pays amazing but also it wears you down.

You can get there in most fields if you have a bad enough manager/company. Scope out glassdoor reviews for that maybe.

You mean nursing? At least entry level bedside is pretty bad because you have limited vacation and you work shift.

It does get better as you progress especially moving out of bedside.

Money is sometimes good depending on location.

Some trade jobs can be like this. It can happen more so with non-union positions working in camps for industrial sites. I’m union and I’ve done a few 70 hour weeks. I think some linemen who chase storms can also work a lot of hours, and make great money doing it.

Damn, that is definitely a choice.

If you don’t want to deal with college, you can get a gig as a floor worker in a meat plant and decent money. If you would rather keep your feet dry, HVAC is a great trade and won’t nuke your body the way that construction will.

Your attitude will absolutely change on this later, even if you don’t think it will right now. I would prep a backup plan for when you’re ready to start a family, settle down, rejoin society, etc.

I am gonna assume you have somethings to figure out in life by the fact you ask this question on this sub.
I wouldnt reccomend you to work in such a job. That kind of jobs are extremely demanding and stressfull(like investment banking). They wouldn’t take away your current problems but add much more to them. Instead you should work at a job that gives you time and resources to deal with your current problems in life.
