Sıkıcı bir işte çalışmak istiyorum.

23 yaşındayım ve şu anda İtfaiye Teşkilatında acil servis görevlisi olarak çalışıyorum. Bazı unsurlarını seviyorum ama sürekli ölümün ve üzüntünün etrafında olmaktan bıktım. Baskı altında performans gösterebilirim, ancak baskının, önümde kanalizasyonun etrafında dönen biri yerine, son teslim tarihine yetişmeye benzer bir şey olmasını tercih ederim. Ben çok çalışmaya kesinlikle karşı değilim, sadece her gün gördüklerimi görmeden daha mutlu ve sağlıklı olacağımı biliyorum.
Diplomam yok ama oldukça çeşitli iş deneyimlerim ve sosyal becerilerim var. Yıllarca bir müzik stüdyosunda kayıt mühendisi olarak çalıştım ve bu işten önce çocuk bakımında da çalıştım. Teknoloji ve yazılım konusunda çok iyiyim ve hızlı bir şekilde yazılım öğreniyorum ve aynı zamanda insanlarla, özellikle de gelişimsel engelli veya sıkıntı içinde olan insanlarla konuşma konusunda da gerçekten iyiyim.

Hey, we have a pretty similar work history. I was a recording engineer at a studio until COVID and became a preschool teacher afterwards. I did that for a couple years before looking for a more “boring” but well paying job. I became a bank teller in 2022 at $20/hr and 3 years later I’m a licensed banker making $78k (about $29/hr plus bonuses). I’m 25.
Banking is an excellent field and you’ll excel if you have good people skills. Lots of different things you can do in a bank. No degree required, I don’t have one. Try becoming a bank teller or banker? Happy to answer more questions.
Look for county and township and state level positions
On-site Medical Representative for Amazon warehouse is an option you could consider with your EMT background. 🤔
Accounting might be a good option. You’ll need a degree but it’s chill and there are plenty of remote jobs available.
This is a typical career profile for a high iq individual
I think you ought to aim a little higher, honestly. I am betting you’d actually find yourself engaging more in a job that challenges you with puzzles and problems to solve and pays closer to six figures. It would take some prep work to get the skills, but I honesly don’t think you’d find that an obstacle.
Here are some ideas I’m familiar with that might be food for thought for you:
1) Project Management
Get a Project Management book like “Harvard Business Review Project Management Handbook: How to Launch, Lead, and Sponsor Successful Projects” or “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide)”
Get practice by volunteering to be the PM for any kind of organization (like charities) or any kind of project you can find (not just construction or IT), even if they think they dont need it. Do your own projects and use these methodologies. Go on upwork, freelancer, guru, and fiverr and get gigs as a PM. Then use those experiences to make a resume and get a real job doing it
2) Computer programming (there’s a millon areas and ways to do this. Python is hot right now). I personally like data systems.. things like Business Intelligence or ETL or database management
3) Business administration
This is cross applicable to many situations. It includes budgeting, managing people, etc
4) People tend to rule out the military without really considering it. It’s a discrimination bias that doesn’t need to exist. For instance a hot one right now in the US is the US Space Force. They recruit through US Air Force recruitment centers, an dthe Space Force deals entirely with things like cyber warfare, satellite security, and technology.
