"Lake County kuyu delicisi" *

Cannibalization only becomes a problem when two pages are genuinely competing for the exact same intent. BUT in local SEO the intent splits naturally by location or service variation.
You are just seeing multiple pages matching slightly different local signals, which is why you can dominate a whole SERP. In e-com/SaaS, where the intent is usually much narrower, Google is far more likely to collapse everything into one “best fit” page, so cannibalization matters more there.
I don’t understand your question. this is just part of SEO. for extremely easy keywords like “Lake County well driller” it probably doesn’t matter. but you don’t want to compete with yourself on difficult keywords. often the wrong page will appear in search and/or hurt your ranking.
Local vs Global isn’t the same.
Keyword cannibalization can be a huge challenge depending on your niche. I’ve worked on MANY a vertical SaaS website where the HP was fighting a service page hurting both pages’ viz, or blogs ranking over commercial pages for commercial keywords.
It’s the woast.
It’ll blow peoples mind when they find out Bing, Yahoo, DDG, and Ecosia will rank multiple pages / post on your website that target THE SAME KEYWORD.
I create content at scale using AI by extracting 1,000s of longtail keywords at a time from a keyword tool then just mass uploading to an AI writing tool without any filtering or human oversight.
And what ends up happening, frequently, is the same keywords is uploaded to the AI writing tool multiple times without realizing and then it goes and creates a whole new article on a keyword that is already targeted then the article is uploaded to the site and I end up with similar articles that target the exact same phrase.
Yet Bing, Yahoo, DDG, and Ecosia will rank multiple of my posts that target that keyword on page 1 of the SERPs still, I think my record was 4 posts from the same site ranking for a single keyword search.
Google doesn’t like this at all but the other search engines don’t seem to care.
I have waded through thousands of client URLs to un-cannibalize content. I’ve seen this sooooo much. More than one page competing for the same keyword. What happens is either one page will rank and the others won’t, or none of the pages will rank. It can take a long time to run a full analysis and fix the issue, so it’s best to plan content well from the start.
