Not: Konu SEO olduğunda ben bir çaylağım

While you want to build the best UX for people, Google is not going to uprank your stie for being fast. similarly if you Google your top 20 competitors, many of them might fail; CWVs and fail – its just undeniable.
But you’re going to trigger a lot of adamant responses from people who have nothing else to offer other than insisting pagespeed is vital to Google and SEO because thats their paycheck or they think thats why they get paid – who knows….
That sucks to hear! Unfortunately, your client is misinformed. CWV’s don’t mean 💩 when it comes to ranking. Unless it’s taking over a minute to load – I wouldn’t be concerned.
Now, from a UX or CRO perspective, maybe that’s worth looking into. But as far as SEO goes it doesn’t matter. SEO is about authority, not lightning fast load times.
If page speed is bad it can affect your rankings, but honestly it needs to be pretty bad.
It’s more for ux and cro – I fixed a sites page speed and the conversion rate jumped noticeably, and vice versa – we added hotjar and saw an actual conversion drop.
Personally I’ve got frustrated with slow sites when purchasing, point is that page speeds important to cro rather than SEO, but cro folks are often terrible at fixing it
