My 2 cents: do an image search on Bing. Use the filter to only show creative common images. Modify the image to be your own.
I’m not sure how this relates to SEO, but anyway, if you don’t like stock images, you only have two options: to create them or to use AI.
if your content isn’t performing, is it a user issue or a search visibility problem? adding images won’t boost your rankings, but improving your core content might.
We maintain a list of free stock photo sites and also pay for a number of premium stock sites.
For clients where they want images in their blogs, we’ll have our writers pick from those sources, and then include them as part of our article.
One helpful note- always make sure you document where you source an image from. Lots of spammy legal companies out there trying to force settlements from businesses that misuse images.
Just use AI to create them, Nano banana from google does excellent job in creating real life images.

I mix Creative Commons and AI a bit. Public-domain archives (like Rawpixel or Wikimedia) are great starting points, and then I tweak colors or layouts so they don’t look like straight stock. Keeps the blog visuals unique without license headaches.

We make em. Stock images are no good.
i know it takes effort, but take them yourself or employ someone to do so, particularly if you’re looking to increase engagement
more visitors than you think can pick stock and AI-generated images
personally, if i see either, it turns me off. it leaves the impression of “if they haven’t bothered to take their own images, how sound is the advice they’re offering in the written text?”
unique, real-world images give a feeling of authenticity, something i can trust, something that makes me stick around on the page/site longer
i’m sure i’m not the only one who feels this way
How do you mean not cutting it? Users dont like it or you’re not ranking?
Images won’t improve your ranking
Hey! Did you try creating images of your own using Gemini or similar? If your prompt is good enough, the image should look really good.
