Yes here are few steps I’d do:
1. find the top 20 competitors
2. Get a list of their top traffic pages (10 pages per domain)
3. Use keyword research tool like semdash to find the top 10 keywords that each of those pages rank for.
4. 20 competitors X 10 pages X 10 keywords then you should be left with around 2K keywords ( that’s your bible)
Stage 2 content creation
– 2K keywords is massive so you will need to do something called “semantic grouping” just google what it is
– Define for each group a main keyword and a bunch of secondary.
– run a google search for each of your main keywords and try to answer 2 questions: what’s the searcher intent from that search and what is common between the top 10 URLs ranking in google.
You can use a tool called neuronwriter for automating this task
Stage 3 getting backlinks
No matter how good your content is, it simply will not rank if you have a high domain authority
To increase your DA you need to get other domains referring to your site ( not only backlinks)
An easy way to do it is to find the broken pages of your top 20 competitors that still have backlinks to them and reach out with your piece
2. Run a backlink gap between you and your most relevant 3 competitors. You will get a list of domains that link to ALL your competitors and not you
3. Run a report to see the pages of your competitors that has the most amount of backlinks, and replicate
what AI tools are you referring to? not aware of any for SEO that are any good
