Generally no, but you are forcing Google to reinvest all the data, and then restart the stacking order. Your content was catalogued based on these indicators etc and now they have all changed, so no it just needs some time to re figure it all out. Although, if a ton of content has been removed and 301 redirects aren’t in place then it can have a negative effect on rankings and discovery.
