When you spend all your time writing Q&A blog posts but your product at the baseline sucks, then it doesn’t matter how much SEO you do and how good of a job you do at it!
I’d argue they are still getting some pretty decent traffic to sell nothing to.
Hubspot’s SEO success was pretty simple to achieve and pathetic at the same time.
I think it benefits Dharmesh to say so because panicky ‘professionals’ will leave, indirectly making “those who remain” exponentially more valuable.
SEO is evolving, and the best have always moved with it 😉
