The reason I ask this is that I have a four month old WD Black 10TB internal drive which is clearly failing. It’s been making grinding and rattling noises for ten days or so now and I’m starting to find corrupted folders that can’t be accessed in various places. First one was on Friday, another yesterday and a third today. So it’s clearly faulty. Yet CrystalDiskInfo doesn’t seem to find any fault with it:
I’m under the impression that C5 and C6 are the clearest indicators. Is there anything there that suggests a problem?
Also, WTF is going on with the Temperature and Spin-Up Time readings?
