  1. you are just make good use of that badwidth for that guy who makes a fakebook like and retweets himself and calls it a day

  2. I’m planning to do this too, maybe not 10TB ?. I have both my courtesy months left. It’s automatic right, or do you have to call then and fight for them not to rob you for the usage?

    I’m guessing they expect people to go over by a few hundred GB at most!

  3. Wait, why don’t you just get unlimited internet anyway. Or do you not have that in America?

  4. Yeah so the next bill will show you your overage charges. Which is maximum 200 schmeckles. But if you call them and tell them what’s up. Basically that you forgot to sign up for the unlimited, and there’s no way you can pay this bill. They’ll put you through to someone who cares.

    I’ve also figured out the reason for the data caps. And it’s not to keep people from cord cutting. The deal is that a bunch of people (self included) were running businesses on standard internet. So they capped it and the business side is unlimited.

    I signed up for business class tonight and no more cap ever. And it’s cheaper than what I was paying.

    So I know this will get s lot of hate and downvotes, but don’t sweat it. Just talk it out with them.

  5. data caps suck….. But people like you are the official reason they’re rolling them out.

  6. they had a deal going a few weeks back where you could get unlimited for an extra 25 dollars per month. Might still be worth looking into. I took that deal. I think this past month I used almost 5TB of data.

  7. #!/usr/bin/env python3
    import multiprocessing
    import subprocess
    import os
    NULL = open(os.devnull, ‘w’)
    def a(ignoreme):
    subprocess.call([‘youtube-dl’, ‘-f’, ‘266’, ‘https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uykMPICGeqw’, ‘-o’, ‘/dev/null’], stdout=NULL, stderr=subprocess.STDOUT)

    if __name__ == ‘__main__’:
    rangex = range(0,10000000000)
    P = multiprocessing.Pool(100)
    p = P.map(a, rangex)

    note: this will download the youtube link, 100 simultaneously. going big with quality and no output.

  8. This is amazing! I thought I was a big shot with my 2580 usage for July…..

  9. You will be billed for the overage but we receive a credit the next month.

  10. I just did a month at 976/1024 or so. I forget what did it, but was at like ~600 after first 3 days. I tried to make it under to save my one more free month, and just did. But it I hit that 1024 halfway through, I’d just turn around and go hog wild. I’m on att though, they only ever give you two warning months ever. At least Comcast seems to do two a year now? It’s also only $30 more to not have a cap, instead of the $50 I think it is for Comcast. But I only get 45/5, 100/30 or something might be worth it.

  11. I’ve talked to them on the phone and they told me doesn’t matter how much you go over. It is 2 months in a year but if you go so long without there is if I remember right a policy to get the 2 back but also a way to loose it. I would have to check to remember exactly what the policy is.

  12. Comcast subreddits it is stated as 2 months in a year.

  13. Have they said anything yet? I was afraid that month didn’t actually exist.
