  1. Wait so what is this exactly? I didn’t know Maison Ikkoku had an HD release?

How do I get a copy of this?

  2. why not putting them on an hdd and just never plug it in

  3. I just almost literally burned (microwaved) a stash of optical disks, a few times larger than this (possibly similar in TB size). Yea, I know, mechanical drives fail, etc. – but smaller, cheaper, MUCH easier to organize, MUCH MUCH faster to write (and to re-write at all!), verify and with a 2-3 years warranty.

  4. Wait, you’re collecting the oldies? Damn…Makes me wish I started early.

  5. Good gracious….I’m drooling and simultaneously lamenting not purchasing more hdds while I had the chance!

Are you actively sharing any of this? If you are, is there anything I could offer? I doubt I have much that would meet your standards, but I’ve grabbed a handful of rarer items over my years, especially from Kametsu.

  6. Do you have any redundancy for multi-disk sets, like a parity disk? Or intra-disk redundancy?

How often do you intend to verify the integrity of the backup?

  7. That’s a wicked collection How long you think it’d take to push it to me over ftp? I’ve got gigabit fiber ?

  8. Wow awesome, I know what I’ll be doing for the next few hours. Thanks again, much appreciated 🙂

  9. Oh nice! I didn’t even know it was receiving the BR treatment. I don’t follow the anime scene much anymore but KOR is forever. I’ll happily purchase the releases assuming English subs. I used to watch it on VHS fansubs, and I wasn’t interested in purchasing the release on DVD for various reasons. I just Googled and saw it was announced in 2018, and so I’m glad I asked you. Thanks for the details and props on your dedication 🙂

  10. I’ve got 10TB of spinning rust dedicated to storing full disc dumps of anime that’s out of print (or never released) in the West.

  11. Do you have a complete list of anime you have? Do you have a preferred torrent site for stuff like this? Best site I’m on is animebytes atm but always looking for better.

  12. I love Maison Ikkoku! I have the BD boxset but I havn’t ripped it yet

  13. This is amazing! Sounds like you have some pretty rare and/or hard to find stuff.

  14. This is a nice collection of Linux ISOs you have.

  15. Where do you buy that many of 128GB ones? I can only find batch of 100GB.

  16. Remux means remux in the scene sense, so BD rips unencoded, just remixed to be in the container file?

Only 18eps for Maison Ikkoku on a 128GB disc would fit then.

  17. This might be a stupid question, but how did you get remuxes of never-in-print anime?
