I can empathize somewhat with COs, but I’m far more concerned with the thousands – 10s of thousands of nonviolent drug offenders they warden who have their lives wrecked by daring to have an 8th of weed on them in the wrong state. I feel much more for the young father, who will only ever see his kid through a plexiglass screen because he had the fucking gall to try and sell drugs to put food on the table for that child. I only have so much empathy.
