In my humble opinion, Ken Jennings Is a transparent joke. The little man is so insecure and worried about people challenging or possibly breaking his winning streak record that when a player, such as Amy Schneider or Mattea Roach start rolling on any kind of 5 game + winning streak that potentially could challenge or threaten HIS winning streak, legacy and record… he very cleverly seems to make subtle, beneficial betting strategy comments and innuendos to the pondering challenger closest to taking down the champ while that individual is dealing with the huge amount of pressure in the few seconds allowed while deciding how much to bet on a Daily Double. On, May 6, 2022, he did it again! The challenging player hit the daily double and before she could say a word, Jennings helped her by telling her to “think about it carefully” …she then made a large $5000 bet, getting it correct thus keeping Mattea from making it a runaway. (It’s also debatable whether the challenger answered in time as Jennings gave her credit for the answer after the time appeared to expire). In my opinion, this is Mr. Jenning’s Clever, under the radar attempt to achieve his personal motivation which is stopping anyone from breaking his longstanding winning game record. This always occurs when a challenger picks a daily double. You’ll notice his comments AWAYS benefit the challenging player with just enough of a verbal nudge to influence that challengers decision/bet with the hope it will put the challenger within striking distance of the champ for the Final Jeopardy Round, of course with the further hope that the champ will miss the final question and the challenger will get it correct thus ending the current champs streak! This behavior is cheating and it is disgusting. (One classic example was the single game winner librarian who took down Amy. He hit the final daily double and before he could place his bet Jennings commented ‘you know how Amy bets’ Reminding him that he has to make a substantial bet to get within striking distance of Amy for final jeopardy …which he did and was lucky enough to guess the final question correctly which of course Amy missed and in my opinion was exactly Jenning’s ‘stacking the deck’ strategy to get the 40 game winner out of there. Who knows… without this unfair comment from Jennings, the librarian might have made a different decision…) This carefully crafted little man ploy increases the odds of getting a challenger within striking distance of the champ for Final. AGAIN, you’ll also notice, his comments never benefit the champ. For Jennings to be allowed to use his genius expertise to make his subtile strategy comments or opinions if you will, to help a challenging player make a beneficial betting decision during the few seconds the challenger is pondering his or her decision, is blatantly unfair and almost as bad as if Jennings was slipping the answers of the questions to the challenger before the show starts! I can’t even watch this game anymore with this nauseating transparent little weasel as host. The producers of this show need to hire an impartial host who can keep their mouth shut, their opinions to themselves and one who just reads the questions and does not comment on the contestants strategy of play during an actual game.
