Any help or suggestions with disc burning.

I just wanted to get some how to and or imput for disc burning.

Recently I was introduced to it via the subreddit and being a beginner I would love some imput or any help or suggestions you may have.

In my own research I have found out that It is good to verfiy the disc after the burn, burn the disc as slow as possible, to buy discs with non organic dyes for long term shelf life and to buy multiple varations of discs. (ie BD-R, M-Disc, DVD , CD).

Now that just some of the info I was able to gather but now It comes to software and hardware. I was told CDBurnerXP would be a good program but If there are others I would love any imput. As for the CD Burner Itself I came across this one listed on amazon. [https://www.amazon.com/LG-Super-Internal-Blu-ray-Rewriter/dp/B00E7B08MS/ref=sr_1_25?dchild=1&keywords=LG+Disc+writer&qid=1635298092&sr=8-25](https://www.amazon.com/LG-Super-Internal-Blu-ray-Rewriter/dp/B00E7B08MS/ref=sr_1_25?dchild=1&keywords=LG+Disc+writer&qid=1635298092&sr=8-25)

Any other imput or suggestions heck even a step by step walkthrough would be very much loved!

  1. Use Imgburn to burn. The #1 answer to bad burns is to uses Imgburn.

Edit: Be sure to get Imgburn directly from [videohelp.com](https://videohelp.com): [https://www.videohelp.com/software/ImgBurn](https://www.videohelp.com/software/ImgBurn) because versions from other sites may contain adware that was included in the last couple of releases. Yes, it was last updated in 2013, but optical disc burning technology has changed in the time since then.

Burn at half the rated speed of the disc, not the slowest possible. Going slower may cause issues with the burn.

For Blu-Ray blanks, use HTL and LTH discs.

Only use Verbatim AZO or Taiyo Yuden DVDs. Verbatim AZO are still available at Amazon, but be sure to check for the AZO logo as the CMC Magnetics, who now owns the exclusive right to manufacture Verbatim AZO and Taiyo Yuden which are the only 1st tier DVDs left on the market. Read this thread about how deceptive the new Verbatim packaging is: [https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/391272-Beware-of-new-Verbatim-non-AZO-packaging](https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/391272-Beware-of-new-Verbatim-non-AZO-packaging)

Taiyo Yuden are also available on Amazon, but beware as there are a couple of companies, not CMC Mag who claim their discs are made to Taiyo Yuden specs (referring to them as made to Japanese specs), but aren’t because CMC bought out the rights to manufacture them exclusively and there are no optical discs manufacturers left in Japan.

Visit [videohelp.com](https://videohelp.com) and [digitalfaq.com](https://digitalfaq.com) for lots of info about anything related to optical disc burning.

  2. Disc burners usually come with some bundled software.

My preferred go-to tool is still CDBurnerXP. It’s reliable and fit my needs.
