I have two QNAP 4 bay enclosures. On the first it is setup as a raid5 and has my photos, movies, music, videos. All of my media content. On the other I have it setup as JBOD and this has my games, downloads, etc.
Both of these backup to another external drive using macruim.
I thought the raid 5 would be best for my videos and memories that are not replaceable. I thought the JBOD was good for non-critical files and be able to add drives as I need to expand.
Is the logic sound or did I not think about this the right way?
